Most 'designer' listings near you are retail counters selling ready pieces cut to standard sizes. A designer starts from a sketch and your measurements: silhouette, fabric weight, embroidery placement, lining, structure and drape are all decisions made for you. Le Wraps has worked this way since 1995 from C-58 Friends Colony East — pattern drafted on paper, karigars embroidering on the premises, and three fittings before anything leaves the atelier. Physical swatches, embroidery trials on your own fabric, and progress photographs between fittings.

Is there a good designer near me in South Delhi?
Le Wraps by Nidhi Sachdev in Friends Colony East is a 30-year bespoke atelier — 5–10 minutes from Maharani Bagh, New Friends Colony, Defence Colony, Lajpat Nagar and Greater Kailash, and around 25–40 minutes from Noida and Gurgaon depending on traffic.
What is the difference between a designer and a boutique?
A boutique may sell finished pieces made to standard sizes. A designer creates the piece: sketch, fabric, embroidery placement, pattern, structure and fittings are all decided for your body and occasion. Le Wraps works only the second way.
Do I meet the designer personally?
Yes. Every design consultation and fitting at Le Wraps is led by Nidhi Sachdev herself. Appointments are one client at a time, which is why we do not accept walk-ins.
What does bespoke designer wear cost in Delhi?
Custom blouses start around ₹4,500, suits and kurta sets from ₹18,000, occasion lehengas from ₹35,000, sherwanis from ₹65,000, and bridal couture from ₹85,000 upwards depending on embroidery. Quotes are written and fixed before work begins.
How long does a designer outfit take?
Blouses 2–3 weeks, suits and sherwanis 3–4 weeks, occasion lehengas 5–8 weeks, and bridal couture 8–24 weeks depending on hand embroidery. Start early — hand work is not rushed.
Can I consult from Noida, Gurgaon or abroad?
Yes. First consultations can be held over video, with a measurement guide and fabric swatches couriered to you. Overseas clients receive insured door-to-door shipping.
