Hand Embroidery, Done In-House — Not Outsourced
Most Delhi studios send embroidery out to job workers and hope it comes back right. At Le Wraps the adda sits inside the atelier, so the designer can adjust motif scale, thread weight and placement while the frame is still stretched. Zardozi, dabka, nakshi, aari, resham, sequin, cutdana and pearl work — sampled first, approved by you, then worked onto the panel before the garment is constructed. We also take embroidery-only briefs on fabric or garments you already own, and restoration on heirloom pieces where the old metal thread has tarnished or lifted.

Can you embroider a garment or fabric I already own?
Yes. Bring the piece to the atelier — we assess whether the fabric will hold the weight of the work you want, suggest an alternative technique if it won't, and sample the motif before touching the main panel.
What kinds of embroidery do you do?
Zardozi and dabka metal-thread work, aari (maggam) hook embroidery, resham silk-thread work, and surface work in sequin, cutdana and pearl. Combinations are common on bridal panels.
How long does hand embroidery take?
It depends entirely on density and panel size. Light thread work on a blouse can be days; a densely worked bridal lehenga panel runs into weeks or months. You get a timeline in writing after the sample is approved.
What does embroidery cost?
Embroidery is quoted per panel after the design, density and technique are fixed — there is no flat rate. You receive a written quote before work starts, and nothing is added later without approval.
Do you restore old embroidered pieces?
Yes, after assessment. Lifted zardozi can often be re-laid and tarnished dabka replaced, but some vintage grounds are too fragile to re-work — we tell you honestly at the counter.
